Galaxy Matrimony is operated by GALAXY TECHNOLOGIES INDIA ("we", "us"). We provide a matrimonial matchmaking service through our Android app and our website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account and sign-in information: the mobile number you verify with a one-time password (OTP), or, if you choose Google Sign-In, the email address and basic account details that Google shares with us.
• Profile information you provide: name, gender, date of birth, marital status, height, mother tongue, location (state and city), religion, community, education, career, lifestyle, family details, "About Me" text and partner preferences.
• Photos you upload for your profile.
• Verification information: if you request profile verification, the documents you submit for that purpose.
• Messages: text messages and images you send to members you are matched with.
• Activity on the service: interests you send, receive, accept or decline; matches; profiles you shortlist; members you block; reports you submit; and notifications we send you.
• Membership information: the plan you ask for, how you chose to contact us (call or WhatsApp), the plan amount and duration, its status (for example pending, active or expired) and its start and expiry dates.

We do not collect or store card, UPI or bank details. Membership payments are currently arranged directly with our team outside the app and website.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and keep you signed in.
• To show your profile to other members and to operate discovery, interests, matches, shortlists and chat.
• To review profiles and photos before they are shown to other members, and to review reports, for the safety of our members.
• To activate, manage and expire memberships.
• To send you in-app notifications about interests, matches, messages and your account.
• To respond when you contact us.

3. Who can see your information

• Other signed-in members can see your profile only after it has been reviewed and approved, and can see only your approved photos. Photos that are pending review or were rejected are never shown to other members.
• Your mobile number and email address are not shown on your profile.
• Chat messages can be read only by the two matched members in that conversation.
• Verification documents are visible only to you and to our authorised team members who review them.
• Our authorised team members can access profile, photo, report, verification and membership information to moderate the service and provide support.
• Wedding service enquiries: if you use "Send Enquiry" on a service provider's page, WhatsApp opens with a message to our team. That message is sent by you through WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Service providers we use

Our app and website are built on Google Firebase, which we use for sign-in (Firebase Authentication), data storage (Cloud Firestore), photo and file storage (Cloud Storage for Firebase) and server-side processing (Cloud Functions). Google Sign-In is provided by Google. Your information is processed on these providers' servers under their terms. The website is delivered by a web hosting provider.

On the website, your browser stores sign-in information so that you stay logged in until you log out.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time — see the Account Deletion page (the Account Deletion page) or open My Profile → Delete Account after logging in.

When you delete your account we delete your profile, partner preferences, photos, verification records and documents, membership record, interests, shortlist, blocks and notifications, and your sign-in account.

Some information is kept after deletion:

• Messages you already sent remain in the other member's conversation history, without your profile or photos.
• A record that two members were matched may remain.
• A minimal account record marked as deleted, and a log entry that the account was deleted, are kept for security and to prevent misuse.
• Reports you submitted, or that were made about you, may be kept so we can keep the service safe.
• Images sent inside chats may remain in that conversation.

6. Security

Access to data is controlled by server-side security rules: members can change only their own profile, cannot approve their own photos or change moderation decisions, and cannot read other members' private information or conversations. Memberships can be activated only by our team, never directly from the app. Information is transferred over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in details private.

7. Your choices and rights

• View and edit your profile, photos and partner preferences at any time from My Profile.
• Block or report any member.
• Delete your account at any time.
• Contact us to ask about, correct or delete your information.

8. Age requirement

The service is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version is always available on this page.
